Your Calls Are at Risk: Massive Flaw Discovered in 5G!

Ana sayfa / News

With the advancement of AI technologies, there’s a constant game of cat and mouse between malicious software developers, hackers, and cybersecurity experts working to close security gaps. According to recent information, hackers have now discovered a significant vulnerability in 5G that allows them to eavesdrop on your conversations. Here are the details…

A team of cybersecurity researchers from Pennsylvania State University has announced the discovery of a series of critical security vulnerabilities in 5G infrastructures.

During a session at the Black Hat Security Conference in Las Vegas on Wednesday, the researchers published a paper detailing their findings. They used a specialized analysis tool called 5GBaseChecker to identify infrastructure vulnerabilities in 5G chips used in phones manufactured by Google, OPPO, OnePlus, Motorola, and Samsung.

If you think 5G is fast, you haven’t seen anything yet: Here is 6G speed!

The new 6G wireless technology offers data transfer speeds 500 times faster than 5G. Here are the details!

The researchers revealed that by exploiting these 5G vulnerabilities, they could initiate an attack by connecting compromised phones to a fake base station. This allowed them to easily control the connected phones and access their content. Alarmingly, the 5GBaseChecker tool they used is currently available on GitHub and has been officially verified.

The researchers noted that most of the companies they contacted have addressed the problem. For instance, Samsung spokesperson Chris Langlois acknowledged the seriousness of the findings and stated that their security teams were immediately instructed to resolve the issue. Google spokesperson Matthew Flegal also confirmed that they had addressed the issue through recent updates.
